$RAZE Liquidity Migration to Uniswap V3

Hey there Razers,

Uniswap, the most well-known and most-used decentralized exchange (DEX) by volume, unveiled its Version 3.0 on Wednesday, May 5.

After extensive research and self-experimentation, we’re confident in saying that Uniswap V3 is a solid improvement upon the previous iteration, and we’re excited to announce we will be migrating our $RAZE liquidity to Uniswap V3.

There have been many changes to v3, the most notable being concentrated liquidity and multiple fee tiers.

With concentrated liquidity, individual liquidity providers (LP’s) now have more control over price ranges. These positions are then aggregated together into one pool, allowing users to trade against one combined curve. As self-proclaimed DeFi power-users, we’ve learned that the majority of trades for a pair occur within a relatively small price range, so shifting to concentrated liquidity is therefore much more capital efficient, with liquidity enjoying a much higher utilization rate.

Meanwhile, multiple fee tiers allow liquidity providers to be more fairly compensated for the level of risk they take on, which in theory, means less volatile pools would have smaller fees while more volatile pools would earn more. Smarter and better.

At Raze Network, we believe a liquidity migration to V3 would garner great benefits for all $RAZE LPers. The one temporary downside to this migration that LPers should be aware of is a higher level of complexity and cognitive burden in learning the ropes of Uniswap’s novel V3 release.
